02 · The market

What the India salon market numbers mean for Punjab specifically

Anyone evaluating a salon franchise in Punjab today is entering a ₹1.01 lakh crore national market.

The opportunity is increasingly moving beyond the metros. Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities already account for around 38% of salon demand, putting markets across Punjab firmly inside the industry’s growth story.

But growing demand creates another problem: every new salon needs trained hairstylists, beauticians and beauty professionals to serve those customers.

For a salon investor, the question is therefore not only “Is there enough demand?” It is also “Can I keep enough trained professionals on the floor to capture it?”

What you are actually buying

Most salon franchises take a percentage of everything you earn. Orane’s salon royalty is a fixed amount, paid in advance for the whole year. Your royalty doesn’t grow when your revenue does — the upside you build is yours.
